Ford, Chrysler GM, Toyota and Lexus have all developed a program to help those of there customer with special mobility needs. If you have a new or newly leased car, truck or van, all three of these companies will reimburse up to $1000.00 on the cost of a lift for your mobility equipment.
The cost of a new inside lift is between $995.00 and $1995.00, depending on the model you chose. With a new Ford, GM, Chrysler, Toyota or Lexus vehicle, that could mean little or no money out of pocket for your new lift!! Read below for each of the manufacturers rules.
CHRYSLER CORPORATION "AUTOMOBILITY" PROGRAM - Chrysler will reimburse up to $1000.00 on any lift for a newly purchased or leased Conversion or full sized Ram Van or Ram Wagon. Additionally, they will reimburse up to $750.00 on any other newly purchased or leased Chrysler car, truck or mini-van. A claim must be completed within 9 months of new vehicle delivery and filed with the dealership where you purchased the vehicle. Once you purchase and install the lift, just submit the Chrysler claim form along with a copy of the invoice for the lift. Chrysler will mail you a check usually within 4 to 6 weeks. TOYOTA & LEXUS REIMBURSEMENT -

Only vehicles sold or leased and delivered to a retail customer by and authorized Toyota/Lexus Motor Sales, U.S.A. Inc. dealer are eligible for payment under this program. Fleet incentive recipients are not eligible to participate in this program.

The adaptive equipment must be installed within 12 months of vehicle purchase or lease. A Reimbursement Application Form must be submitted to the Toyota/Lexus Mobility Assistance Center within 90 days of complete installation of adaptive equipment.

Qualifying adaptive equipment or conversion is defined as any aftermarket alteration or equipment installation on an edible Toyota/Lexus vehicle that provides to the disabled user convenient access and/or the ability to drive the vehicle. Toyota/Lexus factory options and Toyota/ Lexus Accessories are NOT eligible for reimbursement.

To obtain reimbursement , the Reimbursement Application Form must be completed in its entirety and signed by the customer and the selling dealership. It should be mailed along with a copy of the adaptive equipment company's paid invoice, a Lessor Letter of Authorization (for leased vehicles).

SATURN REIMBURSEMENT Harmar lift and ramp buyers will be reimbursed up to $1,000, including installation of re-installation, for equipment permanently installed on an eligible Saturn vehicle. VOLKSWAGEN Customers who buy or lease Volkswagens are eligible for up to $1,000 for Harmar lifts and ramps. Information on the program is available from Volkswagen at 800.374.8389.
STATE OF TEXAS Residents of Texas who need mobility assistance can be exempted from motor vehicle sales and use taxes on new or used vehicles when Harmar lifts and ramps are installed for a driver with a disability. The state sales tax on a lift or ramp, and installation charges, also may be exempted. Claims may be filed after the purchase. Contact the Texas State Controller's Office at 800.252.5555 for information about the program.
OTHER MANUFACTURERS Honda and Nissan currently don't offer rebates for mobility equipment.
